Its history started two thousand years before the christian age, although the first inhabitants date back to the neolíthic age. Nowadays it is possible to admire remains of the said age which can be found catalogued in an archaeological deposit called Archaeological Park Puig de sa Morisca, in which the impressive remains of what was once a talayot of nine metres in diameter are conserved. It can be found on a small elevated hill in the area of Santa Ponsa.
