Costa de la Calma first appeared in the annals of the history of Mallorca when the King of Aragon Pedro IV landed on the shore in the year 1343 before conquering the island and overthrowing Jaime III of Mallorca. In the municipality of Calvià there are five marine sports clubs: Portals Nous, Portals Vells, Palmanova, Puerto Portals and Port Adriano. All these offer an excellent quality in all their services related to sailing and other pleasure water sports.
