Llucmajor is a medium sized inland town in the south of Mallorca. It’s rich history dates back to 1259 when the first church was built and has a long reputation as a shoe making town. Within walking distance towards the centre of Llucmajor are some of the area’s oldest churches and monuments. It also features a Bronze Age Talayotic settlement which is known across Europe as one of the most important prehistoric villages in the west of the Mediterranean. 

Although Llucmajor is an inland town it is only a short drive from some of the best beaches in the south of Mallorca. Due to the towns industrious nature it does not have to rely on tourism, so it has a pleasant atmosphere all year round.
