Tourist festivities
Tourist festivities - a week dedicated to tourists.
The last week of September is always a week of festivities in the bay of Cala Millor, Majorca. It is especially important for tourists as it is a festivity, as the name indicates, honouring them. This doesn't mean that the festivity and activities provided are only for them, everyone is welcome to join. They will begin on the 21
st of September and reach until the 3
rd of October. The activities take place at different points of the bay and mostly at the beach of Cala Millor.
The calendar is very diverse and offers leisure activities for children and adults. They will not only be activities to participate in but also cultural events and gatherings, typical of the island. They will include: a medieval market, sporting events, music bands from Son Servera and Sant Llorenç, workshops, Aquafitness and Pilates at the beach, flamenco interpretations, guided visits to the Talaiot of Mestre Ramón, "Pikos Pardos" concert and the most important cultural events such as the "Nit de la musica" (night of music) where different bands and local artists will show their talents along the streets of Majorca and the "Correfoc" (fire parades) where demons offer the most impressive fire spectacles.
During the week there will be a special service of a tourist train that will take the visitors to the different scenarios. There will also be a Touristapa night on Saturday where the restaurants and bars will elaborate their best tapas (small Spanish tastings). It is a week to experience, hop down to the streets and enjoy what they have to offer!
