The Olympic torch carried around in space

Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kotov and Sergey Riazanski, two of the crew of the International Space Station began a historical spacewalk last Saturday whenthey carried the olympic torch for the Winter Games in Sochi 2014.

The two cosmonauts moved around the hullof the station and the Olympic symbol was exchanged between them two or three times, imitating a real relief, but in space.

The International Space Station (ISS) is a project involving 16 countries and has an estimated cost of 100,000 million dollars. The olympic torch arrived there last Thursday 7th Novemberaboard the Russian spaceship Soyuz TMA-11M,manned by Russian cosmonaut MijailTiurin, the American Rick Mastracchio and Japan's Koichi Wakata, who are to replace three astronauts who return Monday 11th November to Earth with the olympicsymbol which will be received in 2014 in the Russian resort city of Sochi, on the Black Sea.
