Sports award ceremony for the athletes of 2015 - "La Fiesta del Deporte."



The Real Club Nautico de Palma has the pleasure of getting to see year by year how professional sportsmen grow and become champions at a wide range and variety of specialties. They are congratulated constantly for their effort and their achievement but the 9th of January is their big day. On the 9th the Club Nautico will hold a ceremony to award the athletes in the sections of dinghy sailing, disabled sailing, cruising and canoeing who have obtained a total of 86 medals in the 2015 national and international competitions. They will be the stars of an event with the aim of fomenting, admiring and celebrating sports. It will begin at 19:00h and will be presented by the actress and model Monica Hoyos, the end½ is up to the guests.


The event always gets together the best sportsmen of our country, last year the awards were handed out to professionals who obtained podiums in the world, european and national championships, some of them focusing their careers on the olympic games of Rio and Tokyo. They were Joan Cardona, Albert Torres and Antoni Massanet in classes Laser and 420, and the canoeists Alicia Heredia and Adriana Paniagua. We send them great regards, as they still keep our mouths open.



This year there will be 44 gold medals, 19 silver and 23 bronze, an excellent year confirmed by Manu Fraga, sports director of the club, who also raises attention to the effort of not only the ones who ave obtained them but also the whole team which is pushing hard behind the leaders. Javier Sanz, president of the Real Club Nautico, who will also give out the medals has pointed out that, "this party is a way to gather all what happens in our yacht club throughout the whole year with young and not so young sailors and canoeists."

The event will be accompanied by live music, cocktails and small appetizers so you don't want to miss out!
