The tags that are most seen on the shop windows are the 50% and 70% discounts. The organization is effective and more staff are working so the streets and shops are not too busy. The atmosphere is no longer stressful but completely the opposite. Customers are taking their time to do their shopping, altering it with a cup of coffee or small snack on the welcoming, warm and friendly city.

You can also combine your shopping with visiting some of the art galleries in Palma like Caixa Forum or Es Baluard, all offering new and modern collections for the New Year of 2014. Or enjoy a nice meal or dinner in the most up-to-date restaurants and bars in Majorca. Head down to the shops, even to take a small look or buy a small gift for a friend because now it's the occasion.

The sales in Majorca have started quite "shy" but are definitely more optimistic than in the past few years.  The shop-keepers fell positive about the sales and have already seen an increase. It is estimated that the average amount that the Balearics will spend will be of about 78 Euros, 4% more than in previous years. This is great news for businessmen and for the shop owners that have been waiting for this good news for, already, a couple of years.
