Oscar Nominations 2014

Now we know the films that will compete in the 86^th edition of the Oscars, the most important awards of the film industry, which this year will take place on March 2^nd.

The film about swindlers, American Hustle, and the space odyssey of Alfonso Cuarón, Gravity, are the two favourites for this year's awards, both with 10 nominations each.

The major categories, are as follows:

BEST PICTURE: American Hustle, Captain Phillips, Dallas Buyers Club, Gravity, Her, Nebraska, Philomena, 12 Years a Slave, The Wolf of Wall Street.

ACTOR (in Leading Role): Christian Bale-American Hustle, Bruce Dern-Nebraska, Leonardo DiCaprio-The Wolf of Wall Street, Chiwetel Ejiofor-12 Years a Slave, Matthew McConaughey-Dallas Buyers Club.

 



 

ACTRESS (in Leading Role):  Amy Adams-American Hustle, Cate Blanchett-Blue Jasmine, Sandra Bullock-Gravity, Judi Dench-Philomena, Meryl Streep-August: Osage County.
