Oktoberfest Palma de Majorca

The parc de "Sa Riera" in Palma is proud to receive from the 26th of September to the 6th of October one of the most important events in the German country. The beer time approaches, the Oktoberfest approaches!

This typical Bavarian fest has had great impact on the previous years, and has spread out to different parts of Majorca. It has also united people of different countries and different cultures all interested in the German traditions. This time it is taking place in the Paseo Maritimo under a large tent set in every sense as the traditional Oktoberfest in Munich. This event with beer and sausage as main guests began 200 years ago, and has overcome more than 6 million visitors in the last editions and in which, during the 16-18 days of duration, more than 7 million liters of beer from different brands are consumed.

 



 

 

During this time the visitors are able to feel as if they were in Munich, enjoying the German food like Schweinsbraten (roast pork) or Weisswurst (a white sausage), beverages and, of coarse, their live-music. The musical animation will be handed over to the orchestra "Shake" specialized in this type of events. The entrance is free, and it is a good way to enjoy the excellent Munich fest½ only not far from home!
