New shopping mall opening in Ses Fontalles, Palma

The European business Unibail-Rodamco that owns shopping malls such as Les Glòries or La Maquinista in Barcelona continues to invest around Spain and this time the beneficiary is Majorca. The business has invested 255 million euros in the new project that will open its doors the autumn of 2016. The new mall will carry the name Palma Springs and will bring many benefits to the island, one of them being employment for 4.900 people.

Palma Springs will be situated in Playa de Palma and will be surrounded by a green zone of 200.000 square meters.  The estimation is that it will receive approximately ten million visits yearly. Simon Orchard, the general director of Unibail-Rodamco, stated that the mall will be open 365 days a year and that it will offer more than 200 different shops. Some of them being Zara, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Pull & Bear, Mango and Violeta as well as many others. It will count on a surface of 70.000 square meters and on the best facilities and innovations. The CEO, Christophe Cuvillier, stated that Playa de Palma is a great location to invest in as "we are looking for the perfect setting to develop emblematic projects that will become references: Majorca is that place and Palma Springs is that project."

It will not only offer shops and the newest fashion trends but also a great variety of restaurants and the most modern cinema of the island: Cinesa. Cinesa is the leading cinema in Spain and it will exploit 2.000 seats and the best digital technology. We can't wait for it to open!
