New San Juan gastronomic market

New San Juan gastronomic market - the best place to live your passion for gastronomy.

Gastronomy moves people and it moves the world, for many it has become their main leisure activity and even a passion. Palma does not fall behind and inaugurated, on the 19th of June, a new gastronomic market called San Juan. It is situated in the modernist building of S´Escorxador and is the first market with these characteristics in the whole of Palma, in line with the gastronomic markets of the big cities like Barcelona or Madrid.

It has 18 gourmet stands located within 1.300 square meters that will be open from midday to midnight and for an extended period on weekends. They will each offer a wide range of delicious elaborated products, taking special care on qualitythat I am sure will not be a problem as some of the cooks involved in the project are Jaume Comas, fromXino's Restaurant, orRaúlLópez from Lo + Catering. Some of the restaurants that have set up stands include the Japanese Daruma, the Basque Sa Ronda, La Madeleine de Proust and some of the brands offered include the Casalba ham, the oysters from Daniel Sorlutor the Mahou beer. In the centre one will be able to find long tables, stools or bistros to enjoy these delicious tastings. It puts in full use the new concept of street market, used frequently in the most modern cities of England or America, where one walks around, grabs what they like the most and sits down at one of the tables to eat it. Taste, gastronomy, leisure and architecture will hold hands, every day, at the San Juan market.
