New bus from Campos to Es Trenc and Ses Covetes
Es Trenc and Ses Covetes are two of the most famous
beaches in Majorca. Es Trenc is one of the longest sandy areas that is still unspoilt and preserved; it is a protected area of 1942 hectares. Its water is what attracts most visitors as it is almost transparent. One of the treasures of our island.
Ses Covetes does not fall behind, it is not only well known for its water and tranquility but also for, as the name indicates, its caves. Its surroundings are full of small caves from the talayotic age, each with its secrets and surprises.
During the summer season Campos, the municipality close to the beaches was always crowded with cars and hundreds of people had to access the beaches through a single lane road, creating great traffic jams. The idea is to reduce the number of cars travelling to the beaches and to therefore make a progress in the tourism facilities. The Plan of Development of Tourism of Campos therefore decided to improve the situation by creating a public parking in the centre of Campos with bus lines that will take the tourists to both beaches. This was approved last Thursday and is said that it will have a huge impact on the mass numbers of vehicles and it will also indirectly have a positive consequence for the municipality.
This is great news for locals and for visitors as they will be able to enjoy relaxing summer days without having to plan how to get there. Majorca in general is making a great effort to establish
transport links between municipalities and beaches so that the access is easier.
