The trip is divided into 5 stages and it is not necessary to go from the first one to the last one. Different people prefer different stages, or prefer to do them during different days. There is no specific route to follow. The first stage goes from es coll des Racó to Cala Estreta. Its duration is of approximately 2 hours and it is quite easy and comfortable. It is usual for hikers to find the Mediterranean land turtles, very common in this area. The second stage travels through nearly the whole of the Parc de Llevant (a protected natural park.) It goes through a public refuge where hikers can take a break. The third phase goes from the Colònia de Sant Pere to Son Serra de Marina covering not more than 7km. The fourth part joins the municipality of Santa Margalida with Inca going though Llubí. In the fifth and final part of the trajectory you can find the lookout of Ses Rotes and you finally get to Lluc. The whole route covers 43, 8 km of some of the most beautiful places of Majorca.
