Majorca's best areas to live

Are you planning on buying a house in Majorca?

You don't know which area to choose?

The Majorcan paradise is the choice of many when deciding to buy a house however, once the decision is made the island seems just a little bit bigger right? Sea, mountain, city, countryside and many other characteristics are what we can find in the different areas of Majorca. The broad range of possibilities sometimes makes it a little bit difficult to find the place that best suites you and your preferences. A luxury villa with direct views to the Andratx port? A quiet spot in the heart of the old town of Palma? The choice is not easy but don't make it a problem.

From Nova we lend you a hand showing you Majorca´s best areas to live:

Halfway between the city of Palma and the residential areas we find Cas Català. This town, the closest one to Palma in the municipality of Calviá, embraces small beaches, caves and islets such as Sa Caleta, Sa Torre and S'Estenedor. Along its beautiful walkway you can reach the numerous areas of its coast, each unique in their own way. Its good communications and developed infrastructures make this area an important point of reference.

You don't have to reach far from the centre to find the peace and tranquillity you are looking for. The Bendinat area enjoys a privileged location far from the noisy tourism and only fifteen minutes away from the cosmopolitan city of Palma. Its important golf course offers opportunities for both the lovers of this sport and for the ones who simply enjoy the relaxed view over the green. If you prefer a hike along the mountain trails put on your boots and start walking. The top area of Bendinat opens the doors to the mountain of Na Burguesa, from where adventurous hikers are prepared to reach out and explore its tracks and hidden secrets.

Costa den Blanes counts on two areas that are able to get the most out of its privileged coastline. An area of first line residential homes and another one situated over a hill, which imply the reason why most of the properties offer beautiful sea views. At its feet you can find the Marineland fun park where you can spend a different day with the small ones and if you prefer the tennis racket it's you lucky day because only a two minute walk away you can find the Sporting sports centre and who does not wish to practice this sport over the sea.

Portals has its own and special charm. It maintains its small village style with the commodities this implies for the everyday life. It is always good to have pharmacy close or a small supermarket if you run out on bread on a Sunday. From its modest church on the top you can observe one of the best views of this part of the coastline and from here following a small track you reach the beautiful beach of Portals where you can take a dip in summer or enjoy a walk on a lucky winter day.

Andratx has caused and causes a real stir amongst famous international personalities and is able to get together people from all around the globe. There must be a reason. If you go for a walk along its natural port you can appreciate the arrival of the charming fishing fleet able to take you back years ago. The fish market receives daily the effort of the anglers who fill it with the fresh catch of the day that you can either buy there or enjoy at one of the numerous restaurants at the port.

We leave the "jewel" of the island for the end. Palma's old town, formerly enclosed by the Renaissance walls from which there are still remains, was the place of choice of the Majorcan nobles to establish their residential palaces and is now the heart of the city. Through its narrow and medieval streets you can find many of the important monuments of the island. Who wouldn't like to step outside and admire face to face the Cathedral or the Almudaina Palace? I would even consider it a luxury.

Nova Majorca will remain by your side to guide you and help you in the search of the perfect place. Its wide selection of properties, I assure you, will leave you satisfied.

We all know that there are colours to suite every taste and in Majorca we sure have a large palette.[/fusion_text]
