ETU Half Challenge Paguera Majorca
Majorca is not only one of the best holiday destinations in Europe but it is also one of the best locations for athletes to train for their upcoming events. This is due to the setting which offers the best beaches, coastline and the finest coves on the edge of the Sierra de Tramuntana. The temperature is also a key for trainers as the island benefits from lots of days of sunshine and the ideal temperature for training. Another advantage of Majorca is its infrastructures. As it lives on and for tourism, Majorca can provide a range of adapted hotels specialized in sports and in holding sporting events.
All of these great qualities have made Majorca part of the Challenge family. On the 18
th of October Majorca will be holding the first Half Challenge Paguera Majorca. CHAPAGUERA, as many call it, will consist of three circuits: a 1.9km swim, a 90km cycle and finally a 21km run. The circuits operate under the motto "Your challenge is our challenge" and offer the best locations and sites, the best enjoyment and the maximum safety and control. The swim circuit will go from Playa Torá to Playa de la Romana covering the most beautiful coasts of the island. The cycling circuit will begin and finish at Paguera covering Es Capdellá, Calviá, Palmanova, El Toro and Santa Ponça. A circuit with no mayor climbs, the highest peak being 151meters. The running circuit will be composed of four laps which go between the boulevard and the maritime broad walk that join Torá, Els Morts and La Romana Beaches. The finish line will be set at the plaza which joins the beach with the boulevard. One of the most important sporting events of the year!
