Cala Estellencs - Majorcas natural beauty
Cala Estellencs - Majorcas natural beauty.
Cala Estellencs is situated in the west part of the island, surrounded by a beautiful mountainous landscape. It rests under the main Mountain range in the Balearics and more precisely under the Puig de Galtzó (1.026 meters of height). Cala Estellencs serves a double function as it also counts on a small port for the fisherman of the villages and houses nearby.
The "Cala" forms like a semi circular form surrounded by rocks and stones and a small platform to lie more comfortably on. It is situated under steep and high cliffs covered in pine trees. On this Cala the Torrent of Son Fortuny comes to end and if you are lucky you can get to enjoy a cold and fresh water shower.
As it is found in the west coast of the island where the waters tend to be deeper it is the perfect place to bring some goggles, hop into the sea and explore its secrets and surprises. You will able to find a great variety of fish, other sea creatures and high rocks that stand out over the sea level.
It is not over-populated and therefore very peaceful and relaxed. The access by car is simple following the indications on the road and once you get there, there is a small parking area only a few meters away from the water. Close to this magical place you can find Cala Banyalbufar which is similar due to their proximity and also very interesting to visit. Get out and explore the island...There is a lot to see!
