"Blue Water" exhibition at Rialto Living

From the 10th of July to the 10th of August Rialto Living will proudly display the works of Katrin Kirk, a famous artist, Danish by birth Majorcan by nature. Rialto living is a luxury lifestyle shop which offers, through a thorough and personal selection, a lifestyle concept including interior design, fashion, art, gifts and a Café to the well-traveled fashion and design interested customer. The building dates back to the 15^th century, when it was constructed and later on turned into a theater and after that a cinema. The architecture of it has been kept the same, excluding some necessary alterations. That makes the place even more special!


The "blue water" collection explores the perception of the human form and the natural world through a variety of materials that capture specific moments that she observes in her everyday life. She fell in love with Majorca and that was what motivated her and inspired her to develop her magnificent techniques. She fell in love with the combination of its incredible light, outdoor lifestyle and easy access to the numerous art galleries, museums and beautiful architecture that defines Palma, and has created a studio and home in the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains.


She works in three dimensions; creating virtual energy and making objects appear solid and transparent at the same time. The shape, the silhouette, the shadow and the reflection all combine to convince the observer of its translucent reality. Her work is unique and transports the viewer into a different and magical world, don't miss it!
