Calp plans an ambitious €9,070,000 renovation of the Fossa seafront promenade, funded by the EDIL Plan and FEDER. This will include structural repairs, pavement renewal, LED lighting, green zones and climate shelters, barrier-free access and inclusive playgrounds.
Plaza Mayor makeover
With a €2,300,000 investment, the project aims to fix underground garage leaks and add shade structures, misting systems, vertical gardens and green roofs for thermal comfort. Full accessibility, solar panels and e-bike/e-scooter charging stations are also included .
21st‑century tourism office
A modern tourism office, budgeted at €890,500, will feature digital brochures, interactive screens, immersive experiences, solar panels, and charging infrastructure for bikes and scooters in a building on Calle Llibertat.
Sustainable urban impact
Together, these projects total €12,260,500, with 60 % financed by FEDER under the EDIL Plan. Rooted in Calp’s Urban Agenda, they aim to drive a more inclusive, sustainable, innovative, and climate-resilient urban model.

Councillor Marco Bittner highlights that these initiatives position Calp as a leader in accessibility, digitalization, and environmental resilience, enhancing residents’ quality of life and its appeal as a Mediterranean tourist destination
